When a homeowner entrusts us with their project, we work carefully and diligently to deliver not only what they hope to achieve, but to exceed their dreams and expectations. The space must reflect who they are, what they love, their interests and their lifestyle. It has to make sense, it must be efficient and easy to work and live in each area we touch.

Such is the case with this very special remodel.

Our client’s words about this special project:

“Wendy is a talented professional who creates beautiful spaces . Wendy did a total remodel on my home and gave me the modern look I was wanting. I highly recommend Wendy for your next project. And will be using her again for mine.”

The client wanted to update her custom home….a home she’d built with her husband years before…a home she loved and did not want to leave, but that no longer worked for her aesthetically.

We cleaned up the interior architecture, added state-of-the-art appliances, fireplace, lighting, and fixtures. Seven new windows were added to open up her living area and provide a view to her serene backyard from the kitchen which features an 800lb quartz-wrapped vent hood. The dining was changed to a cozy media den, and the office was refreshed with a textured, sophisticated wallpaper. The hall bath was re-configured to allow for a spectacular walk-in shower and contemporary floating vanity complete with vessel sinks and statement lighting. We made the powder room into a conversation piece by installing a La Cava in wall toilet and cylindrical pedestal sink, wrapping the room in subtle metallic grasscloth and illuminating the space with sconce lighting with a hand applied metallic finish.

Whenever possible, we use local vendors on our projects. We love the sense of teamwork it adds to our projects and the joy that we all feel when it comes together.

  • House of Carpets, Carpet One put in the stunningly beautiful french limed oak floors.
  • Phillips Lighting and Home was our source for the spectacular light fixtures.
  • Pursley’s Window Coverings addressed the windows with subtle silhouette shades by Hunter Douglas.
  • Slater’s Furnishings had the perfect new dining table and chairs for the newly elevated space.
  • Suite 52 Living came through with the perfect pillows, throws and floral pieces to make the space feel warm and friendly.

What once felt outdated now feels fresh. Her grandchildren come to play and cozy up in the den on her newly upholstered furniture (clad in Crypton fabrics for durability) and enjoy a movie all snuggled in together. Her son-in-law cooks up masterful family dinners in the gourmet kitchen for the whole family to enjoy in the new dining room. And when all is quiet, she can retreat to her own lovely bedroom wrapped in velvet bedding, illuminated by crystal lamps, and draped in crisp linen window coverings for a peaceful night’s sleep.

It’s the reason we do what we do…because we love our clients and we love for them to love their homes and the lives they live in them. It is our great privilege and honor to do this work and we can’t thank God enough for this gift of a designer’s life.
