A local physician saw a housing need for traveling nurses and decided to convert her over-the-garage apartment into a rental for such a purpose. The goal was to create a space that truly felt like home for short term renters, so high end residential finishes were used. We installed a linear electric fireplace to create a more cozy feeling and completely replaced the kitchen, designed with home-like features: a coffee bar and counter seating at the island. The bedroom feels light and airy but comes equipped with remote operated black out shades to encourage better sleep for medical shift workers.
